Derek has traveled the world as a Director and Cinematographer, working with brands to create imagery and tell stories that elicit an emotional response. He’s happiest when creating, and loves collaborating with other passionate artists.
His commercial directing work has won 3 Regional Emmys, a National and Gold Addy, as well as D&AD First.
Derek has directed projects for clients such as: Sony, XBOX, Google, Virgin Mobile, Budweiser, Toyota, and many more.
He occasionally writes in the 3rd person on his website if the context calls for it. But he knows it’s goofy and isn’t fooling anyone.
